Hello All,
If you have HP ProCurve 5300 switches in your network (or any of the
other HP switches listed here: http://sflow.org/products/network.php)
then you should consider upgrading your traffic server installation to
version 4.0.35, as we have made improvements to the automatic discovery
and configuration that happens via the sFlow MIB (see
http://sflow.org/developers/specifications.php).
Please also note that with the latest release of firmware for the
ProCurves (e.g. E.08.53) the access control rules have been tightened.
If you see the switch appearing under Monitor->Traffic but showing no
interfaces, you should check the following...
1. The traffic server must be using the community string that has
"manager" privileges. "operator" level is no longer enough.
2. If there are any addresses configured in the access control list.
Then the traffic server's IP Address must be in that list too.
Kudos to HP for a solid implementation of the MIB.
